About  Me

I'm a clinical psychologist with over 30 years professional experience. I received my doctorate from Adelphi University and worked for several New York City hospitals and clinics before launching a full-time private practice in 2001. In the beginning I specialized in mood and anxiety disorders and the aftereffects of trauma, and continue to treat these today, adding a focus on changes in the life cycle as well as obsessive compulsive disorder.

During the COVID pandemic I worked exclusively by Zoom and FaceTime and have returned to the office but still offer video sessions. I hold active licenses in Florida, where I now practice and reside, and in the state of New York.

My orientation is psychodynamic with experience using other modalities such as hypnosis and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I bring my practice of Buddhism and experience treating people in 12-step recovery to the table as well. Having lost my husband to Alzheimer’s Disease several years ago, I now also offer guidance to individuals and families for whom this is an ongoing source of change, pain, adjustment and eventually loss.
